It is combined with a BIONZ X image processor and front-end LSI that provides fast and continuous shooting at AF/AE at up to 24 fps. The camera is enhanced by the Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens that has an equivalent zoom range of 24-70mm with a maximum aperture of f/1.8-2.8. The lens system is designed with two aspherical lens elements that reduce chromatic aberrations and convey clear images.
The fast hybrid AF system of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VA delivers maximum autofocus speed for both stills and videos. The hybrid system is incorporated with 315 phase-detection points that cover up to 65% of the frame. The RX 100 VA is superb for video recording. It provides 5 minutes UHD 4K movies with exceptional clarity. The camera is incorporated with Sony's advanced XAVC S format that ensures high-quality video with 100 Mbps bit rate. For making video and editing easily, many options are available like timecode, zebras, peaking, and many more. It carries a Photo Capture function that enables to save 8.29 MP still from the UHD 4k movies. The camera is very beneficial both for high frame rate shooting and super slow-motion video. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VA is designed with a rear 3.0" Xtra Fine LCD screen that can move upwards 180° and downwards 45° for recording at different angles. There is a manual control ring, surrounding the lens, that helps to control zoom, aperture, and picture effects. It has a built-in 3 stop neutral density(ND) filter which makes it easy to work in bright light with wider aperture settings. A pop-up flash is also attached with it.
