The Viltrox AF 56mm f/1.2 Pro is a premium, ultra-fast portrait prime designed for Nikon Z-mount APS-C (DX) cameras such as the Z50, Z50II, Z30 and Zfc, and usable on full-frame Z bodies in DX crop mode. On APS-C sensors the 56mm focal length provides the classic 85mm-equivalent portrait perspective, delivering natural compression and striking subject separation for headshots, half-length portraits, weddings, events and street portraiture.

The f/1.2 maximum aperture renders exquisite, layered bokeh with smooth focus fall-off and gathers abundant light for clean images at lower ISOs in dim conditions. A refined optical design of 13 elements in 8 groups, including 1 ultra-precision aspherical, 1 extra-low dispersion and 3 high-refractive elements, maintains edge-to-edge sharpness wide open and keeps colors clean and fringe-free even in backlit, high-contrast scenes. An 11-blade diaphragm keeps out-of-focus highlights round and smooth.

Viltrox's Dual HyperVCM motors provide fast, silent and precise autofocus with real-time subject tracking and eye detection, plus minimal focus breathing for video. The full-metal, weather-sealed barrel is built from high-strength aluminum alloy with a scratch-resistant matte finish and brass bayonet mount, and the front element has a water- and smudge-resistant HD nano coating. A customizable Fn button, AF/MF switch, click/de-click aperture switch, 67mm filter thread and USB-C firmware port complete the package.
